Dang...I think it would be out of the question for me since our first child is due on the 10th...I really want to get back there though. You accepting Toy donations?

<--in - planning to arrive on Thurs nite, get in some 'peaceful' wheelin on Friday!

<<-X2 Have had Thurs-Sat reservations for a year now. Got Friday off and got the pig runnin'. I won't have the 45LV or the new FJ50 done by then. Shake down run at the Cliffs on Saturday.

Gotta think your killer 55 would be OK, Goebs. It's way more capable than my pig and I'm goin'. If you need a trailer and/or truck let me know. I might be able to catch a ride with a Duramax as it barrels on through.

If it becomes a headache to get one of my pieces of crap down there... I am going in the suberban and will fins a seat. The 55 has no bump stops, no steering stops, and no plug on the gas tank. I am having trouble finding the way to plug it.
Time is not on my side!

Either way, I will make it and see you there at some point!

Ill be there friday morning. I just plan to catch up to woody and the gang when I get there. Im sure with all the chevy drive trains in that group they wont make it far before they have the hoods up. :flipoff2: Ill be camping.

THIS Saturday?

hhmmmm

Yes. Me, Tom (cliffs tom), and Joe (Joez) will be there friday afternoon for some non-wheeling fun ;). Then camping up in the park and wheeling on saturday. Mostly a shake down for gumby. Though my welds will still be warm on a new x-member and Ill have 0 miles on new front gears, but I dont anticipate any problems.

Is it the stock fuel tank? I have one sitting on the bench with the plug in it.

It is stock at that point. Modified everywhere else. It is the threaded fitting on the passenger side.
If I cap that part, adjust the front stops, use the rear body as the bump stops..., it might be a nice shakedown run for it. Atleast the thing has heat. I am sure the lockers are stuck. I drove it around and they didn't lock up. Open wheelin might be a new challenge for me. Feel like tinkering before on it? Otherwise I will try to get the 40 down here and beat it like a red headed step child.

I've got a trailer slot open....let me know and I can drag your red POS down ;)

I forgot, it was cold, and you could have caught the bug... Sorry about that! iBeen there done that. Just makes me remember how much fun we had at dinner and after.
All this talk about wheelin friday is making me want to take the day off and head down earlier than planned.I am leaving mid day tomorrow to go north to hunt Bambi and resurect my 40. If all goes well, it's following me home on a trailer.

must have been a dirty glass....or....15 dirty glasses....

Shiner is now available in Indiana.......

that stuff is available everywhere now..... I fondly recall the days of bootleggin Shiner up to the North country......kinda lost its appeal once i could pick it up at the local store......... still one of the best beers evar....

Just got done shaking down the 62 with John, Joe, Dan, and The Gumster. The smile on Todd's face today spoke volumes. I'll keep my gnarled fingers crossed until I see it on the trailer going home from Attica.

My self and OSU Boy Ryan will be out there Friday afternoon. We're booked at the Attica till Sunday. I've already promised not to nab any mascots this trip. We'll be leaving Chitcago Friday noon time. I'm just taking the 62 since the 40 hasn't even been looked at yet! I'll be stealing some ideas for it while I'm there.

Still working on convincing the little woman to camp. She is a little worried about the cold sitting around the campfire, which raises a question. Who is bringing what for firewood? I can bring some in the back of my 4runner. Can anyone get any pallets? Joe?

if they are done, yes....they may not be ready by then....
