Guys,
Needless to say, I had a blast out there that day. All of my trail prep and maintenence paid off.........?! It was great to meet you Chuck. That Jeep wheels very well.

Woody, once again your setup amazed me. That thing is wild and hooks up beyond belief. I dream of changing my set up every time we wheel together and then get home and realize it is beyond my skills to do so. I guess if it made it through the day in one piece, it is ok for now.

I will get my camera pics down loaded soon and post them up. Hope to see the video some time. There were some great spots out there!

I look forward to running that trail agoin soon. Next time the heat index might be a bit more tollerable. Thank goodness my cruiser runs so cool.......

Later,
Goebs

I tried that once before. No change!

I am heading home to figure out a way to remove some metal in front and see where I can add some heat shield insulation. I am thinking a hole saw might be the call of the day. I want to remove fenders but I have quite a bit of junk hanging on them right now. The ride is Way too hot for me! Needs more air. And by the way, it is only a tune port 350. Way more torqe then the lt1....... At least in my mind.

Let the other dudes know that they were great to wheel with and all had very nice toys! I didn't catch their names but they were all cool. Good group and let me know when we can do it again!

I will do that! Thanks again for leading us on one hell of a trail.

Hey everyone, I had a great time. After Goeber and Woodingen left me high 'n dry, I had to slink off and find someone to coddle me around the easy parts. Thanks Gumby the parking lot curbs were narrly. I figured, since Troy's selling his parking lot at the fire sale price of $10M, I'd better perform some due diligence before droppin' a lil coin.

Goebs, the tires were amazing. My wussy IFS icecream truck crawled some rocks that a noticed a couple Jeeps and a (<gulp> FJ40) didn't.

Of course, the 40 and Jeeps didn't make it due to breakage from previous tough trails that I couldn't make.. but HEY, those damn tires made my day. Best day of wheeling I've had in a long time.

So, in gratitude, I made them dirty, shredded them up, threw them in the back of your tow rig without even a thanks and took off. I didn't help you load them, I didn't help unload them... "Garsh ma Mamma'd be PROUD..."
.
.
.
I'm headed to Colorado in a few days, when I get back I'll give you a call.

OUCH!!! That Hurt Man! Especially from a mini that couldn't hold it's breath through a little puddle on the orange! hehehe :D

I had a great time wheelin' with ya'll.

Tod,

JD thanks ya for the seat. His last wheelin' trip was in a Heep, so he's spoiled now. I thank you for the Hi Lift & tools. I fixed that bracket the next morning and went back out on Sunday. Met up with a buddy in his Heep and we got about 2 hours of wheelin' in before, you guessed it, the Heep died. We couldn't have been farther from the parking lot either. There's just something about towing a Heep all the way through a trail and out, then winching it up on a trailer, Nice!
Oh, and Mr. Spandex/I'm gonna rip down this tree at the trail head/ & I'm gonna buy the Badlands ORP was in the lot when I towed it up. He just had to come over and talk.

See ya'll soon,
AJ

Hey AJ, you and your 40 out-wheeled and out-wrenched me an' my bucket. I just got such a thrill outta crawling the quarry, that I figured you wouldn't mind throwing me a bone... :o

Yeah, after the hydro-locked engine, ripping off the passenger mirror, and caving my passenger door in, I tucked my tail between my legs and headed home Saturday night, so I missed the fun Sunday.

Later,
Kenton

BTW: the 4 guys from Michigan were:

J.D, Earl, Tony & Jim

Jim had the white pickup....J.D. was the tattoo/piercing god....Tony with the Sammi....and Earl with the orange mini.

Good thing C recalls this stuff...I know the trucks by heart :D
