I currently have a blinking TPMS sensor light on. After some research it appears that there’s a good chance one of my TPMS is bad. I found a super clean set of OEM 18” wheels with working TPMS. If I take those wheels to a tire shop to put tires on, would that fix the issue? Or is this something I can only take it to a dealer?

check the air in the spare tire, had same issue on a Tundra, it was the spare.
did you check the air in the other tires?

TPMS can be fixed by pulling it off and replace the battery- youtube it and ( cheapest) or buy new TPMS after confirming the issue.

Sounds like an excuse for different wheels to me!
