Well after extensive deliberation it seems I cannot resist the never ending alure of an 80 Series... Pulled the trigger on this 1996 HDJ81 VX w 1HDFT... Sold the 100 Series AND 60 Series to make way for this, so I hope I do not regret my decision. Work carried out so far has been new injectors, injector pump rebuild, valve clearances, water pump, timing belt, general maintenance to base line as it is my DD. Overall feels similar driving to the 100 Series.. just more fun, character and less 'refined', IMO the 100 Series was very boring but I do miss the 60.
