Does it have to be locked before doing a rear or front axle rebuild?

I do not have front and rear lockers just a CDL and 7pin mod.

You don't have to lock anything if you don't have OEM e-locker.

you can still lock it by attaching a lock to it just kidd, no you do not have to worry about it unless you have lockers.
