I hear all the time that a full floater and much better than a semi-floater. I'm curious if any one has had any major failures with semi- floaters?

full floaters are harder to flush.

Seriously, full is better. I have had bearings fail on each type of setup however full floaters can take more abuse for a longer duration.

The full float can carry more weight for a longer time without bearing failure.

The Toyota FF have a weaker axle shaft than the SF.

People do occasionally break axle shafts on semi-floats, and the axle bearings go bad when abused.

Full float bearings are easier to change, you don't have to get into the diff. You can carry an extra axle and change it in half hour.

You mean "carry an extra set of wheel bearings" right?

And with the FF, the frt and rear wheel bearings are all the same.
