Top Gear did a special where they were given a thousand bucks to buy a truck sight unseen in Bolivia, South America...they then had to drive them 1000 miles through the jungle, over mountains and across a desert. Hammond picked out a well used FJ-40 and used it up well. It's an 8 parter so here's the link...you can follow the other parts from it. And for FJ guys with an emotional side don't watch part 8.

Just got done watching the whole thing. It was sad to see the end of the FJ40, though not totally believable.

It broke down the most, but was also at least 10 years older than the other two.

Sad ending indeed for the 40, but it made the most difficult crossing hood almost under water crossing. Maybe we could go pick up some the tasty parts scattered all over Bolivia. Dont ever want to do the mountain highway ( that was nutz!!!!). Cool show though..

I hve been trying to watch this. BBC has been banning it on youtube unless in the UK.

i just tried the link and it worked fine.

The metaltech cage held up really well. They must have shipped over the stinger, cage, and lights beforehand.

That was freaking awesome! The "dune" at the end would be cool in the 60.
