I wish I was a capable DIY but due to time and inexperience, I would like to flush my 08 LX570 AHC.

How much did you pay to have it serviced at your dealer or indy mechanic?

Thanks!

Fluid is $30/liter -> 4 -> $120.
2 hours? $150/hr -> $300
Shop fee + consumables -> $42
$450?
I did it myself though . . . and I think $450 for it is total robbery.

Thanks....the problem is acquiring fluid online that can ship to Guam which was why I was considering the mechanic route.

Appreciate the quick response @grinchy

Paid $130.00 for my 100 series which requires about 2 liters of fluid. At one of best best independent shops around.

Fluid should be $20/liter (houston dealerships). @ranma21 sells 2.5L cans for about $47

Thanks for the reference buddy =)
Yup, I stock the 2.5L Metal can for $47 a can usually $59 shipped.

My (un)friendly dealer is $28/liter.
The big cost driver is labor, how may hour(s) will it take, and at what rate . . .

Just to add the data point, I got a full AHC flush done a few months ago on my 2015 LX at a large Lexus dealer in the SF Bay Area for $313 all in.

Seems reasonable, especially considering the type of work (messy), fluid expense, and dealing with disposal of the old fluid. Done the same day and got a loaner while they worked on it.

Can you please look at your receipt and see how many quarts of ahc fluid did they use?

hate to be a skeptic, but are you sure they fully flushed it?

Have you shined a light in the reservoir to see if there's a red/pink hue? have you checked the bleeder nipples to see if they are clean and show signs of being accessed?

I can dig up the invoice in about a week as I recall it having the number of quarts on there. I could swear I saw 4 on there but will post up here when I confirm either way. The notes in the service history online don't have the quart info but it does state the following:

~|~CUSTOMER REQUEST TO PERFORM ACTIVE HEIGHT FLUID EXCHANGE SERVICE ~|~ ~|~BLED OLD SUSPENSION FLUID FROM ACTIVE HEIGHT SYSTEM AND REFILLED SYSTEM WITH NEW SUSPENSION FLUID.

Totally understand the skepticism! The reservoir has new fluid for sure, but we know that's easy to pull and fill. I did not check the bleeders but will take a look.
