Any reason you wouldn’t do the 29 gallon main? Seems less complicated

Joe T - Price on their website, when ordering directly vs through Alibaba had free shipping.
Krice118 - Primary reason was “insurance”. This leaves all the original factory equipment in place in case quality and reliability in case the aftermarket tank didn’t hold up. Should be easy to revert to solely the OEM tank simply by going back to the original fuel filler routing.

My apologies for bad information but it did not qualify for free shipping.
Here is rhe latest.

I ordered both tanks… here they are leaving the warehouse in China this morning! I won’t talk about shipping costs because I paid for air freight $$&, but I have an off-road camping trip through the Smokey mountains Thanksgiving week, and I’m getting 7.5mpg with my offroad/off grid travel trailer in tow, so I really needed more fuel. Will keep everybody updated!

7.5mpg? holy smokes (pun intended lol). Talk to us about tariffs though. Any?

The suppliers absorb the tariff costs. The goods are significantly cheaper there, dont worry they are making money off you.

This may be nothing @LostInTranslation but….there are two gas tank threads. One for LX600 (this thread) and one for LX700. I noticed your shipping label is for an LX700H not a 600. Like I said, probably nothing.
Also - please do let us know how much customs charges you so I can prepare my wife for one additional expenditure on my unauthorized purchase of my tank 😀

Not guaranteed. It depends on if they write the customer in as the importer of record, or if they write themselves in as the importer of record. I've had a few packages get held up by DHL/UPS/FEDEX asking me to pay tariffs.

Should be something that the seller knows and they should be able to tell you fairly easily.

If it's the customer, I believe it's something like 50%, depending on what category they import as. Let's hope they don't say it's a car, then it's like 100%...

Agree
It’s a bit of a crap shoot. I’ve had packages go straight through, some get assessed a fee snd some held for more information then hit with fees based on the info provided.
I’m assuming these will get tariffed snd if memory serves me correcly, FK Offroad’s checkout process states that buyers aee responsible for any duties owed.
