Toyota Land Cruiser - $80,155

Toyota’s Land Cruiser has been around a long time, but with June sales of just 158 units, we’re wondering how. The Land Cruiser is a capable vehicle with a lot of creature comforts, but there is almost no promotional advertising done for it, and the price is, well, high for a Toyota.

It’s been two years since we had Land Cruiser in the office and when we did have it, we had mixed feelings. Some of us liked what Toyota offered with the vehicle packaging, but all of us thought the price was way too much for such an outdated vehicle.

Yep. got mine for 52k "brand new" in 2008 .... Nothing like a recession and gas crisis to help lower prices... Sure I can get 30k today ... Thats 20k in depreciation over 7 years.... Love my LC ...

What they don't understand is comparing the 80k to any other vehicle that is as capable but most importantly...as reliable. You get a loaded Lr4 for $78k. It holds it's value about as well as a piece of IkEA furniture. Next up is a Cadillac, nice luxury mall cruiser but that's it. After 80k miles you better ditch it. Merc GL550. Great SUV for mall and occasional dirt rode driving but that's it. Loaded is around $90k. Jeep Grand Cherokee, honestly it's a piece of Chrslyer garbage. But my Dad continued to buy a new one every 3yr since they first came out with the 5.7 or 5.9 liter(can't remember which liter back in 1995 or 98'). He has had the drive Shaft hit the ground at a stop light and numerous other problems. He finally stopped buying them in 2010. He was a diehard jeep guy...no longer. So when you start shopping for SUV's to compare, you won't find much that beats and I do think $80 for any SUV is insane...granted I do own a 2013 ML63 but that's because I'm certifiably crazy. Lol o_O

Keep in mind, all these other vehicle require Premium fuel. So you'll save a boat load by using regular.
