For Sale Autotrader: Land Cruiser V8 D-4D Automatik Executive 4.5 LITER DIESEL

Holy crap guys. The holy grail of Land Cruisers just popped up in my Autotrader search:

I called the guy and he confirmed that it is indeed the Euro Spec Turbo Diesel. He said he imported it. He sounded Russian or something.

It is NOT legal, no matter what someone tells you. Maybe he meant to say "smuggled" instead of "imported"?

Anyways, the VIN would not be able to be registered with the DOT. It would have to be used for off-road use only, and even then, it still may be illegal.

It could've been resistered and titled as a diplomatic vehicle with the State Department, regardless if it meets safety/emissions standards, or not.

Think there's several filings required with the State Department for it to be legally sold that would result during a VIN investigation.

Pretty sure the diplomatic status would be the only way to legally register the VDJ200 and there are some determinations made on its adherence to safety and emissions standards, that may not be too far off the mark, anyway.

I do think its really a dsl. the instruments are set to metric, looks like its actually in the US....bet some Prince(or Russian) left it behind, shame there is not a pic of the rear end to see how its badges Looks like it had a long front license plate on it

might be here, might have a title but still never going to be all kosher....if its real.
