Gday guys, ive recently bought a 80 series (Auto) and its going super good, really enjoy the car but i really miss the manual and the 4 speed auto isnt my thing lol.
ive just bought another 80 (Manual) with a good condition gearbbox, new clutch etc for cheap and looking to do a conversion pretty soon.
Just looking for any advice and tips or tricks from someone whose done the full conversion. Cheers guys.
(before anyone asks why not just keep the manual one. The auto 80 is super grandpa spec and never been offroad and stock as a rock. The manual has seen better days and would rather keep the better condition one.)

There's plenty of threads on here where people have done them. Lots of info in those.

Off the top of my head the parts of the job that require fabrication were the crossmember (different bolt-up locations) and the transmission tunnel hole needing to be reworked. And I removed a lot of the auto-wiring. But I was also converting from petrol to diesel so I deleted a LOT of wiring.

Personally I would be upgrading to an H152 if I was going through all the effort. The more modern gearing is amazing.
