Reading about the folks that are going to Moab and seeing the
list of all the emergency repair materials listed made me think about
plugging AAA Plus membership.

Aside from the maps and stuff, I find that having the extended tow
range (up to 100 miles from home) a big plus when driving our older
trucks.

Most regular Autoclub tow ranges are in the 5-10 mile range, and its
$$ for every mile over that.

No affiliation, just a good deal.

I called CSAA (auto club). Apparently you start off with a Classic
Membership ($54.00 per year, $17 initial sign up). You have to keep
the membership one year, THEN you can upgrade to a Plus Membership, which costs $84.00 per year)

You can get up to 4 service calls per year (gas, lock-out). Save them for the towing which is up to 100 miles free per tow.

If you already have CSAA, or AAA, it is only 30 dollars a year more than the Classic membership.

I have Triple AAA plus and it have paid for it's self every year. I highly recommend having it especially of you take road trips. Mike

I used it to get a buddy's car unlocked when we were in the mountains, saved $100. Also used it to bring a parts truck to my home. Luckily I haven't needed it for my cruiser.
