Australian HZJ75 Manufacture Date?

So looking at this tag from an Australian HZJ75, manufacture date is noted as 7/90. When I look up the VIN here:

It shows 5/93 as the manufacture date. I've always found that VIN tool to be accurate. Is there something about this discrepancy? Anyone shed some light on this?

If I run the vin on www.japan-parts.eu I get 5/93 as a build date

Interesting ... I get the same "10th digit" item on the VIN on my 73, but it has been confirmed as legit by other sources including akella (Yan)

Also notice that it has the 5 in the model designation of the OPs model PJ75 and the 3 in my trucks model (BJ73) as "check digits" which seems odd as well. Weird ....

The licensing dept from the state where its from should be able to confirm the date when it was 1st lic.
