$18,000

2006 with VVT-i and 5 speed transmission, plus headers and exhaust upgrades in addition to armor add ons.

Despite the fact I usually flip cars every 2-3 years, I never thought I’d come here to sell this one. I’ve had it for 5 years and that’s the longest I’ve ever owned a vehicle. But for family reasons, I will be selling this one and moving to a different 3 row vehicle for family trips (wife got out of the minivan game a year ago). Prior to this Cruiser I had a ‘96 80 Series for three years. This is not a daily driver for me but I drive 1-3 days a week and on family trips over the last year.

Here are some things I’ve done or had done:

I baselined fluids when purchased 2017.

New timing belt and associated parts 25k miles ago, installed at LC shop

New spark plugs at same time

Doug Thorley headers and Borla cat back installed at LC shop (charged me for a lot of hours for those damn headers) - with the VVTi and Headers/Exhaust it feels almost quick and sounds great

Offset wheels and tires (which have about 27k miles on them) - matching size spare. Great stance IMO

Metal Tech sliders

TJM T17 front bumper

ASFIR front skid plate

Land Cruiser Heaven replacement leather first and second row

Weather tech mats

New speakers

Bluetooth input module for audio and calls

Replaced both camshaft seals and valve cover gaskets, resealed the front of oil pump - all a year ag0

Replaced Front rotors, replaced steering rack, replaced right front C/V axle, fluid replacements - 2 years ago

New alternator this year

New motor mounts half year ago

New fuel pump sending unit 4 years ago

new rear brake pads a month ago

Other smallish repairs over the years

aftermarket subwoofer

have both third row seats installed

Has AHC, works perfectly no issues.

Just drove 1K miles on a couple family trips - I have ZERO concern driving this anywhere, it is rock solid and well maintained mechanically.

I’m the second owner , I have original bill of sale and window sticker. I bought it late 2017 around 192k miles on the odometer. I baby it more mechanically than cosmetically, other than cleaning often, keeping it in climate controlled garage, and upgrading the leather. I’ve thrown stuff in the back without carrying, been careless so little nicks or scrapes, and I think it looks a bit marked up if you are within 10 feet - yet people will see it (when clean anyway, it’s black!) and wonder how it’s a 2006 - they think it looks too nice. Plenty of negatives to point out though, I know many looking for factory condition rigs on IH8MUD:

Cosmetic nicks

Headliner is slight sagged in a couple spots but oddly it’s been the same way for 5 years, no one ever notices and it hasn’t progressed.

A crinkle in front right fender

both front door locks need to be operated manually (I have the motors, haven't installed)

No remote fob, use key to lock/unlock

steering wheel moves up and down but extend/retract motor not working

That’s all I can think of as far as work done and issues for now, can add later if I missed anything. Also don’t have great pictures but will improve later, send requests!

Back from a 500 mile weekend trip, family of 5 plus dog plus hitch carrier and extra few hundred pounds on way back. Stayed cold in the 100 degree Texas heat and got 330 miles before a fill up - according to my spreadsheet, thats 4 miles more than my previous "record" in the 5 years I've had the Cruiser.

I rush posted this from my phone, if anyone wants to see more photos let me know. If you think my price is off (hopefully too low? :) ) then let me know.

Beach trip went well, family of 5 with plenty of gear and AHC carried us smoothly on the 85 MPH speed limit Texas toll road or on the beach itself.

Not much interest here - posting elsewhere now.

Nice truck. the used car market bubble has popped, you might need to adjust accordingly
Yes, good point and I understand. I do think the Land Cruiser market doesn't always follow the general market, and I hope to find a passionate buyer who appreciates the series, year, modifications, and maintenance/upgrades I have done. But the buyers set the price, not the sellers.

Awesome truck! I think you got a good price, you got all the mechanicals where they should be, ready to be driven on dirt or pavement!

Honestly if I was in your local I’d definitely check it out but I don’t really need the bumper and sliders, hopefully you find someone that will use those mods 🤘.

Thanks, had a buyer but they backed out because they wanted to finance the entire purchase price

I took a video for a remote buyer, I can share that link via direct message if requested.

Found a potential family replacement vehicle - if I can get $18K for the Land Cruiser, I'll take it
