I think the automatic will cushion some of the locker "ratcheting and unlocking"... what about someone with a manual...how it drive. If in the rear to you have to hold the clutch in on the pavement during slow turns?

During most turns (not highway) and when decelerating and turning. just think of it this way...If you're foot is off the gas and your turning (not highway bends) then depress the clutch, once you straighten out, hit the gas.
I can accelerate or decelerate through U-turns with my Aussie. It just has to be done smoothly. If it starts to get hurky-jerky then just put the clutch in. Not a big deal.
