As promised, ran Smiley Rock yesterday. There was 3 of us. From the time we left Gold King Mine to the top of Woodchute Mountain where we camped, took 3 1/2 hours. We took our time with a few stops. No problems and got to camp before it poured on us. Good times.
Hope you guys have a good time as well

Sweet rig!

Family visiting, so gonna miss this one.

Likely I cannot make this full day run.

Lauren may be bringing a small box down from Flag with him. It will be an FZJ water pump and misc small parts that I purchased from Pitch recently. Is there anyone going on this run that might be able to bring back these parts for me and I can swing by to pick them up some time when convenient for you? It would save me about a 6 hour round trip to Flag to pick this up. TIA. Pete

@JackA seriously sweet rig you have there, have any more pics of it to post up???

We are in for this one. Tina (@aztlctina) and I are going to drive to Jerome on Friday, stay in town, and then meet up with everyone Saturday morning.

Is any pass needed for this? I have my annual Interagency Pass, but I am mainly asking for others.

I ran this as part of the Great Western Trail. It was..... different...

I don't believe a pass is required.

I'm in. Is anyone planning on camping?

Not camping on Saturday. We will be staying in Jerome on Friday night though.

Since we will be staying in Jerome Friday night, no sense in us driving out to Cottonwood to meet you guys. Any thoughts on timing when you will be in Jerome and where we should meet up?

New member and I would like to join this run.
I'm coming from Prescott/Chino Valley on Perkinsville Rd. heading east from SR89.
I plan to join at the Power Grid station at FR318A and CCC Canyon Rd.
This is where the 110KV SRP power lines cross the Great Western Trail. I plan to get there early and do some target shooting.

Is there a CB or FR channel to monitor?

Welcome. Watch the thread for time and info. When using CB we are usually on chanel4. Many have Ham radios

Brices, if you want to meet us at the big parking lot at the start of Jerome-Perkinsville road, it will be our air-down spot. It is labeled on Google maps as "King Mine and Parking". It will take us 20 minutes from Cottonwood Food City to get there. Plan on around 9:30.

The group will be on the usual HAM channel 146.460. Some in the group may have CB also
