:doh: I like to think that I'm pretty computer literate, but I have always had a problem with attaching pics on Mud. When I try to attach them, the next page asks for an address? What address? Usually you browes, locate the pic, click on the pic and your done. And how do you make a picture smaller so that it can meet Mud specifications?

For resizing image information, read the IrfanView sticky thread here in this section.

For attaching pics, use the "Manage Attachments" button (advanced) then you just browse to the location of the image and then do an "Upload". It will check the size and let you know if the image is too big.

You can also link to images on sites like PhotoBucket (free picture hosting site.)

To do this you will imbed your image using: [ img ] http:\\yoursite\foobar.jpg [ /img ] (no spaces within brackets.)

edit:

cool.. I didn't know about that website thing..

Woody,

If we know the attachment ID (ex: att ID=56357) used by another poster, can we link to this attachment in another post?

OK, then spoon feed me and give me the details for the example above (att ID=56357)

View source gives me:
src="attachment.php?attachmentid=56357&stc=1&d=1139358285" border="0" alt=""

Got it!! Copy Image Location was the clue that I needed! Seems we've done this once before. Maybe I'll retain the information this time....

right click > copy image location

paste that here

How would you copy the image location on IE, I was trying on a different computer that didn't have Firefox and couldn't figure it out.
