I am on the tail end of installing a power steering gear box from an 85 astro van in my 72 fj40, I did it almost exactly like the one in the tech links. I am now to where I need a pitman arm. Does anyone know what pitman arm will work with this set up? Im at a dead end; the guy in the tech links doesnt respond to his email (of course its several years old.)

The best way is to take some measurements of what you need and hit the pick a part with a pitman arm puller. Every rig has slightly different needs to make the steering work. Length and drop of arm are needed. I have done a couple of Astro conversions. The last one used an arm from a Camaro, but don't just go and get one, it may not work for you.
Truck pitman arms tend to be more robust than those from cars.
Also keep in mind the tie rod end size/taper. I reciently bought a reamer to make such adaptations easier.
Happy steering!
