Asking for help...possible relocation (1 Viewer)

Guys,

Hope everyone is doing well and having a good start to 2011. I am currently splitting my time between Charleston and Raleigh and am possibly relocating to the Charleston area in the coming months. I am asking for any networking opportunities any may have that could assist in my job search in the Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, and surrounding areas. I have been in the development/contracting arena for 8 years and currently hold a VP of Operations positions for a development company in Raleigh, NC in which I have been with for 8 years. Looking to advance my career or make a change in the med sales, business development arena, but am open to offers. I am an avid cruiser enthusiasts and started Olde North State Cruisers in NC about 6 years ago. Any help is greatly appreciated and best contacted via PM. If all works out I look forward to meeting new cruiser heads in the lowcountry.

Med sales is tough to step right into Greg. I tried it a few years back, and you basically have to go bottom rung to get the experience and pay your dues. Given that, I took a slightly different approach and went to a company that builds hospitals and manages their equipment assets. You learn a ton about the med field and are much more desirable with that diverse experience. We are hiring...but you would need to move to Denver.

Well it looks like I will be heading down with boat and cruiser in tow over the next few weeks. Still working out the job situation so if anyone has any additional suggestions or contacts that might help it would be great. I am working on rebuilding the 80's motor so that will be one of the first projects once I get things moved in and space cleared up.

It'll be great to have you in the area, Greg. Did you check out Sysco? I think they are hiring outside sales.
Also, I went to school for auto mechanics (worked as one for 10-12 years) so I can help or at least have tools to get the engine back in.
Are you still thinking about Mt. Pleasant?
I have a friend that will have a house for rent on James Island available in Aug.
Just let me know.

I did check out sysco but never heard anything after submitting online. My fiance and I already have a house in West Ashley and one in NC so we hope to end up in mount pleasant once we unload one of them. Busy July with wedding but once we settle down I will get back to finishing up the 80. First priority right now is employment or else I will be traveling back and forth to NC every week.
