Armor 2014 4Runner or gx

Does anyone have a 4runner or GX 460 after 2010 and has put armor or skid plates underneath it?

Looking to build some armor out of aluminum, wanted to get some ideas, measurements.

Finally upgraded the wife’s car. 2014 gx.

Picked off the car transport this morning.

34k miles.

Issue is that the underside has an excessive amount of rust, for only being three years old. Looks like a started its life in Minnesota.

Worst is the factory brush guards underneath, so looking to upgrade to aluminum.

Think I’m going to take it to Lexus to have them look at it, is it still should Be under factory warranty. Exhaust system, is my biggest concern. I can wire brush and paint the parts of the frame show rust.

This will further delay Foo’s portal axles.

Great choice. I was REALLY torn between a GX and the Yukon that we bought, but with Rach's need to try and rival the Brady bunch in kid count, the Yukon won. Plus it gives me a decent tow rig for the future.

@2fpower I had a very positive experience with Hendrick Lexus last year. I think there's a reason they have so many awards up on the wall. Hell they even have a samurai sword in a case !

Long story short, ordered a bunch of armor from Tim at RCI today. GREAT customer service. Easy to work with.

They were out of stock on a few items, so going to have to wait 2-3 weeks before they are ready to pickup.
