On the bright side, I won't be stressing about the possibility of a Super Bowl home game this year:bang:

Up to the coaches to give both Stanton and the running game some new looks and strategies for this upcoming home game with the Chiefs. I don't think we lose too much on D with Mathieu being replaced with Tony Jefferson. Glad to see run stopper Shaunessy back but will most likely be eased back into the fold.

I was hoping for more from Grice but nothing of consequence so far. The Chiefs have been beaten by teams that can run on them and hopefuly Cooper pancakes some people for whoever is running the ball. Of course Arians is mum on who will be featured or if RB by commitee with Ellimgton questionable.

Gotta produce some points if the Cards have any post season hopes in 2014
Come On Man!

I wouldn't mind seeing Ellington sit for a couple of weeks. He clearly isn't right and is hurting the offense. Give someone else a chance to step up. Maybe with a break, he can rediscover himself.

Well the Cards cut Michael Bush already. Guess he wasn't all that but worth kicking the tires on. Taylor is starting with Grice and Hughes thrown in the mix. They activated K. Williams from the practise squad but I suspect for back up purposes?

Do or die this game. Cheifs have poor middle linebackers so hopefully we can meet the 135 or so yard average rushing they are allowing per game. That should help our QB.

Home crowd usually fires up the D...go Cards

I hope to see Hughes get some carries. He's not a big play threat but consistant, positive yardage does wonders for offensive rhythm. Lost yardage in the running game is a drive killer.

It amazing what happens when you run the ball. It's a two team race, the whiners are all but eliminated.

Truth. Williams was impressive as our new running back with Ellington out for the year now. Those running lanes might look different with the upcoming Rams this Thursday night though?

Hopefully our starting corner , Cromartie isn't out too. He left the field on a cart. Dang injuries....were cursed!

Btw, what are the chances our field goal kicker hit the upright twice in a row. His kickoffs aren't deep anymore either. I think they aren't disclosing that he is playing with an injury over the last couple games.

10-3 yeah baby! 3 more games.

Gotta wonder how much of it was Williams vs Cooper getting his first start. I hate seeing Ellington go down but it may be a blessing in disguise. I respect his toughness, but he wasn't helping the team. Hopefully, fresh legs will create a needed boost.

They confirmed that Cro's injury was not an achillies as initially feared. Hopefully, he'll be okay.

My take, the D excels with their backs against the wall (and do a great job keeping them in the game). God forgive the O gets a three possession lead in the first half:eek: But that would be fun..;)

Our FG kicking game has certainly turned south. The rookie does not trust himself to make a big kick like he did early on.

Also, what is up with our punting and punt/kickoff coverage? Seems like 25yd punt returns are the now the norm for our opponents.

Totally agree on the D rising to the occasion. Also great to see Red #11 back out there. He adds some needed toughness on the O, and takes the heat off of Stanton an his young receivers.

Our special teams coaching needs reviewed this of season to be sure!

Nice pick up of Chris Clemens today for backup safety due to Cro and Mathieu hurt. He started last two seasons for Miami and played for Bowles in the past

Too bad because they showed some promise this season. SS, what's your opinion about Manziel starting?

Mixed feelings, Hoyer has brought them this far, but hit the wall these last three games.
Why not bring in your future prospect and see how it works before the 2015 season. They remind me so much of the Cards, solid defense that just needs a little more "O" to help out in those tight games.
Three of their losses this year were by 1 point...

Damned if they do.......... situation. Keeping Hoyer on the field while in the playoff hunt was the right move. They need to find out what Manzel has but if he faulters and Hoyer is run out of town, they're really hosed.
