I still don't understand why they don't import some of these thing into the US. Makes me nuts.
 
They are cool. I'll have to do a little research. Of course $53,000 AU is expensive enough that it is well out of my price range anyways. Great looking vehicle. I did a few conversions and came up with the following:

202.4 Horsepower @ 3400 rpms
317.15 Ftlbs torque @ 1200-3200
19.8 MPG (Cab Chassis 20.4 MPG)
Optional 47.5 gallon tank

That's it. I'm moving.
 
I checked with my connection and was basically told we'd probably never see them in the states. Between demands and government EPA rules, production is moving to car-based SUV's. He mentioned that even the 4-runners are sitting while the Highlanders are flying off the shelves. He also said there was talk of a smaller (likely less rugged) truck with a hybrid being in the pipe.

So, looks like either you import one or move! Too bad really. They are a gorgeous machine.

47Gall of deisel I wouldnt want to fill that one up. probably cost about $225 to fill it!

The 70 is progressing SLOWLY!!! I dropped it off in 10/07, and so far the rt dog leg and rocker are repaired. :rolleyes:
Still have the wheelwell, 1/4 , lt 1/4 and the doors to go...
But on the bright side its 7 months of free indoor storage!!
I tell Angelo take your time you cant rush quality!
 
Maybe I can trade the FjC...
