Help! I've searched through several threads and can't find anything applicable to what I'm seeing.

Just installed an ARB bumper, and I want to wire in the turn signals on the ARB to the front turn signals.

The kit includes an extension with the shorter wires. ARB wires are black and red (2 wires only). The turn signal wires are green and white.

Which goes to which? They sent the red clip thingies to tie in both of them, but I read something about changing bulbs and running them as both running lights AND turn signals. I'd think that's cool, but primarily I need them to be turn signals for safety.

Can someone give me some tips? Is it black to green and red to white, or vice versa? Or is that totally wrong?

i just look to see which cable goes to the center pin/contact of the original OEM turn signal housing and do the same for the ARB turn signal housing and tap the same wire. That way you have the same wire feeding both OEM and ARB bulbs center pins(+) the other wire would go to the outside cilindrical part of the bulb (ground) but either way should turn the buld on :). hope i didn't confuse you.

Use a test light, turn on the blinker, find which wire is the one that is blinking. Use the red taps to tap the red wire into the wire thats blinking, and the black into the ground.

If you're still confused tomorrow I'll post a picture of the wires.

Thanks guys, looked high and low and didn't find much. Will let you know if I dont get it figured out.

Thanks for the replies. Since my last post I went back out and wired it up.

I set it up as:
Black ARB to truck green
Red ARB to truck white

Works great, thanks for all replies.

I can't get my truck turn signals to work. Connected with butt connectors. Turn Signal in the ARB bumper work but not the truck signals.

Anyone have a quick pic of their setup? I bought my 80 with an arb bumper already installed but not the wiring so I'll have to buy/rig something up. Just looking for something to replicate. Thanks!

Did you simply tap the power & ground, or did you clip & use butt connectors?

T-taps on the green & white wires & male insulated spades into the T-taps, then you have power going to both bulbs.

I dislike the quality of the bumper light housings, so to me wiring them is just inviting trouble anyhow. My POV.

After reading the horror stories of too many flashing lights for the relay I elected to not wire the ARB turn signals when I had mine. Made taking it off that much easier

I got It figured out I am embarrassed. I connEtter the current the wrong way.
Power needs to come in to the butt connection the other end of the butt connection is the signal going to both sets of turn signals. I was Connecting power to the bumper lights in one end and then the truck lights coming out of the other end.

So I thought I had It figured out. I have It wired like the picture above with butt connectors. Nope, the truck blinker will still not go on despite the ARB lights working fine. What could be the issue?
