The instalation of a 5.29 R&P set in a SF axle is not recomended .. due the ring thinckness.

you may want to do a lot of research on this one
4.88 with ARB is fine but a 5.29, ugg!
Our diff guy won't even touch that combo

I'm my diff guy and the front is already done with 5.29s and a Lock Right. I would like to run the ARB in the rear so it's open on road.
Can't seem to locate any specific info on 5.29s with an ARB, so what am i facing.
I am not against going with a full floater and would actually prefer to go that route if the price is right.

 Why do you suppose that is?

This would be by far your best option, but you are looking at 500.00us or so for a full float axle housing, minus the center section, and it will likely need the brakes and bearings replaced as well.

5.29’s and c-clip axles are not a good mix. You have to grind away A LOT, and I mean A LOT of the tooth in order to get the cross shaft into and out of the differential, and you will need to also modify the opening in the ARB and grind the teeth where the spacer block enters the locker, in order to get it to fit. This is fact with any gear set deeper than 4.10/1.

Good luck!
