does anyone run full length ARB roof racks? Ive been looking and cant find any pics for the ARB on an 80. I cant find a used INTI and they dont import them anymore so I think ill get an ARB. So how do yall like the ARB racks and do you have any pics, thanks for your help.

I've got the 3/4 length ARB with wind deflector. It makes no noise. There is one pic of it in My Albums, but it's not a great angle for the rack. I like it and am very happy with it. I ordered it from Sierra Expeditions.

thanks MB, anyone else?

I have the Half ARB Rack and you can see it fully loaded at LexusAllTerrain@smugmug

ARB just came with a new aluminum rack that seems very strong and it is very light weight with optional accesories!:p

I have an ARB 3/4 Rack as well. Very nice, but it's a heavy SOB. OK4WD in NJ used to import them.

i have the 3/4 rack without the deflector. Madd Baggins, did you get the wind deflector from Sierra Expeditions? I would be really interested in how cost effective the deflector is.

Right now, i love the rack for what it is. It's incredibly sturdy, can hold a ton of stuff, the mesh floor makes it tieing or latching items down a breeze. But it's noisy! Very noisy. I can't even use my sunroof. That, and the fact that it's heavy as crap are the only things i don't like about it.

Here is a picture!

awesome I like it, I will be thinking about getting it, do you know if that price includes the mounting feet? It looks just like the steel one just weighs alot less I guess...

I like them, just not enough to justify the price...I would need a full bar so its alot more, however I love the sunroof hatch

Yeah, got the deflector from Sierra. $92. I'm quite surprised at how well it works. I get no whistling or wind noise. None. I would assume you would get similar results. I'll be out wheeling all day tomorrow, but if you want some decent photos of it, let me know.

BTW, I DO NOT have the mesh floor. That may make some difference.

I ran a full-length on my 97. It was really loud. It KILLED gas mileage. It was really heavy.

It was awesome.

I horse-traded it to elmariachi on this board. He should have some pics.

I lost one mile per gallon, but it is worth it to me somce I get to carry my gas containers and some other stuff on it and it is very solid!

It is heavy and it should be a two man job to install or to remove, ask me how I know, I feel I am strong enough, but I still had an accident and I am now mark in my face for life well untill I get next year my plastic surgery!
