Anyone hear any news? I called the local ARB dealer today, and he mentioned that nothing was planned yet, and nothing available. I found it hard to beleive as I had seen it on LCOOL.org months ago. Comes with two mounting brackets (one for either side) that screw into the factory roof rack holes.

We just did a 2 week family trip, and this would of helped out greatly. The Yakima ski box was a good alternative (cheaper too, as it was sitting in the garage at work) but I would have loved the extra space and load carrying capacity of a true roof rack.

That is nice! I could use that now also!

Does anyone know if the rails for the arb rack are removable?.. I love the rack but would like to have a flat deck to mount my maggiolina rtt to when i am using it. Mounting it to the top of the rails puts it way up in the air. The african outback rack has the option for rail removal but I like the ARB much better and I don't know anyone with a AO rack on a 200 yet.

You could possibly use one designed for a 100, but come up with your own mounting brackets.

The ARB side rails are not removable, but they do make a rack designed for mounting RTT's for 100/80 series.

ARB offers a rack the same size, but with out the rails on the rear. It is designed for the simpson tents they sell.

Removing the rack from the brackets can be done, but more of a pain than it is worth.

Special Note!!!!!!!! If or when you go to remove the factory rack, break both bolts loose before removing any of the bolts. The bolts are in pairs, and the retainer for the "captive nuts" is sensitive to breakage. If you remove one of the bolts and then break the other bolt loose, it will spin the "captive nut" on the inside of the vehicle.

You don't want to have to reallign the "captive nuts" if they fall into the vehicle.

If you guys want i can post some pics of what i am talking about.(from Sbly's install)

Vince, pics would be great! I didn't know sbly rack was installed this way. I'll have to look at those pics again.

Please post pics. I would like to see what is involved, as I was thinking of changing things up on top. Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

My first official post in this forum....

Anyway the ARB rack pictured is the same rack I have fitted to my rig.....LC200 GXL TTDV8

These racks are bullet proof and I had the same style on my 100 Series. The ARB rack made for the 100 Series will not fit the 200 Series even when using the ARB 200 Series brackets....I know as I went down this path first.

The 200 Series is wider at roof level and the ARB 100 Series rack is narrower and sits weird on the brackets.

Are you guys saying that ARB are not going to release the ARB 200 Series racks in the USA or Canada or are you waiting to get them from back order.

If I can figure out the delivery logistics for my drawer systems to USA and Canada I may as well shove ARB racks in the delivery as well.

If you don't know I am in Sydney, Australia.

Cheers

Stuart

The ARB rack has been fitted on at least one 200 series over here (sbly) so I am assuming they are available. I was interested in using the AO rack without rails as a base for my RTT but it is currently unavailable in North America. I would definately be interested in a shipping quote for your drawers and I a sure a few others on the board would be interested as well.

Irongrady, do you have a 200-series?

If you are interested in drawers for the 200-series, please see the other thread regarding EXO drawers. I'm trying to get a group buy together to really save on shipping from Australia.

Davegonz.. Thanks for that link. That seems to be perfect for my application. Do you know anyone with that rack installed on a 200 series with pictures of the height above the roof.

Jb.. It's a long story but I was the owner of a 2009 lx570 that has been traded in on a 2009 200 series. I will post in the drawers thread.

Arb makes 3 models of roofracks to the LC200

2 - The Thule Roof Rack
Makes transporting items such as skis, snowboards, canoes, bikes and general camping gear easy

3 - The Rhino Roof Rack
Works well for mounting long or heavy itims to your Landcruiser. The Rhino range provides 4WDers and tradespeople with a variety of options

Actually they make more.

The Deluxe version in steel and aluminum

The Touring rack wich is the same length and width as the Deluxe, But is flat for about 3/4 of the rear to fit the simpson tent.

They also make the Thule system and the Rhino Rack (ie. construction crossbars) not suggested

We do have a scratch and dent sale on a compleat kit Aluminum rack with 200 series fit kit. $875 + shipping

I belive the one you call "Touring rack" is what ARB calls their "Steel Cab Rack" version in the Deluxe series. Thule system and the Rhino Rack I mentioned above, So i dont se what you mean "they make more".

I have talked a lot with many manufacturers about part for LC200, since we are about to launch a new site for dropshipping here in europe, only for the LC200.

And ARB australia told me, those 3 series I mentioned, was the only series they sold for that model
