I just ordered an ARB air locker for the hind side of my 04 4Runner. However, I am now having a hard time finding someone to install it. I am OK with installing the compressor, switches and airlines, but am very hesitant to play around with the axle and 3rd member. Does anyone know of any places close to Mass that can and are interested in installing this kit?

Thanks!! I just ordered the stuff today. When it arrives, I will scan the instructions and send them over to you. If you still ffeel comfortable after looking at them, let's talk.

Thanks again for the response!!

I enjoy these kinds of projects, but know my limits. My goal is to get the compressor, switches, and air line installed, then if it all works out, get help with the locker work (meaning pay someone) ;) I may just take landtank up on his offer.

I have the 4Runner FSM for my wife's 2003 and will take a look at the rear axle tonight.

I live about an hour and 15 minutes from you so you could come up and help with the install for the experience if you like.

Absolutely. I would like to assist any way I can. Assuming you're up for the challenge, what's your availability after X-mas? I've got a run in western ma on January 16th and would be thrilled if this was installed.

If not, no big deal.

Ok. Just let me know.

B. Dargie Machine Co. in Westboro. If you want someone closer. I had my gears and both front and rear ARB installed there. Then when I blew up my front end I had them fix it and put in 5.29's. Nice guy. Would recommend them. Just giving you options man.

Thanks for all the responses and information. It's great have access to bunch of offroad addicts like myself.

If Rick can't handle it, let me know. I'm further away, but I've done a few. The toughest part is getting the courage to drill the hole in the housing for the fitting.

Rick, if you take it on, I have a nifty fitting I made up for testing the locker with shop air. Pretty cool to be able to watch it lock (snap!) and unlock (PSSSHH!!) on the bench. It's also a good way to check that the O-rings and fittings are OK and not leaking, I like to lock the diff then close the valve and let it sit, see if the air bleeds off. I can toss it in the mail for ya.

Hi KLF,

Thanks for the info. I have been talking to Rick and am hoping to have him install it after the holiday. I haven't worked out a date yet, as he has one project in front of me.

Hi Rick,

Yes I am still very much in need of the installation. I'm still waiting for the locker to come in. The holidays slowed down everything. I don't think it's going to arrive until the week after next.

Thanks
