Hello,

I've researched this to the best of my abilities and didn't come up with much.

I was in a hurry and using my characteristic lack of research back in a very busy December when I ordered a bumper and suspension set from my local ARB dealer. "This bumper is for a 98-03 land cruiser", I said. "Surely it will fit my 2000 LX470."

Apparently that's not the case. I haven't yet checked to see what the fitment issues will be because I'm still waiting to do my T bars. I believe I saw mention of two separate people making it fit the LX470, but no specifics. Does anyone have any idea what is involved? Is it worth getting out the plasma cutter and angle grinder at work, or should I resell at a loss and either get the correct ARB (03-07 for the LX470) or look at other options?

This is one of the posts that I found concerning: '03+ ARB Combination Bar on a '98-'02 LX470

Pretty sure you just need to cut the light tabs off of the hoop so the grille clears when opening the hood.

My understanding - which may be incorrect (That's why I'm on mud) - is that applies to the 03-07 Deluxe and not the 98-02. I'd love to be very wrong though.

Ah, not sure about that. Hopefully someone with the bumper can chime in.

The 3413050 is designed for the 98-02 LC. There are no ARB bullbars designed for the LX (only the Sahara non-bullbat). You will need to cut-off the upper antenna tabs in order to open/close the hood. Somebody suggested bending the brackets that hold the LX grill in place... but that's not what I'd do. You want at least a centimeter of clearance between the swing area of the grill and the upper bullbar.

Ok. My understanding was that only applied to the 03+ Deluxe. I was well and ready to chop the antenna tabs, so that's a relief. Always glad to be wrong!

EDIT: This was one of the posts that concerned me '03+ ARB Combination Bar on a '98-'02 LX470
