Thanks for looking out for those parts. I called the guys I ordered the bumper through and they said it was all taken care of. But no sign of the missing parts and its been 4 months.spacers and lens and I'll be a happy man.

Great Bunch of Guys

Went to ARB today, they did have the install kit that I needed. Luckily, the kit also comes with the full turn signal set so I did not have to buy any of the smaller parts that I was going to replace.

These guys are great, they even gave me a tour of the facility. I swear I wish they would have allowed me to do a "supermarket sweep" scenario and I would have had so much s%^t that I would have needed to install springs and shocks right there in the lot just to handle getting everything home.

I also found out about so newer products that are coming out, mostly for the FJ Crusier but it was cool none-the-less. One of the employees had a ARB roof system that was on an FJ that has was selling. Still waiting on him to determine if it will actually fit the 80 series or not.

I alo found out they are looking for another parts tech for the warehouse.

You know after all this, I may be buying one of their non-winch setups and then selling my winch bar. Still back and forth about this but will determine what I am going to do before I deploy again.

Glen,
Let me know when it gets on, would love to see what it looks like, I should be flying down to pick up my 40th later this week and can't wait to put one on.
Thanks

Why would you go backwards from a winch bar to a non-winch bar?

Concrete,

Is this sane...some would beg to differ but I bought the bumper on an impulse before I actually had time to think about my goals (short term) for the truck. You have been around for a while, you know how fast you have to be to get a bumper on the site. The phrase S$^t or get off the pot comes to mind.

I am considering this because currently I do not plan on running a winch (probably several years out) and I felt that why have a winch bumper on the truck with no winch (IMO it looks weird/silly). The sale of the bumper will help offset the cost of the other bumper and springs.

Due to my current situation, this is my DD and until my daughter is bigger or the wife grows in height (isn't going to happen) I cannot put a lift on it and remove the running boards. Once the daughter gets older and can climb into her seat herslef, I can turn this into more of what I ultimately want.

I also will be ordering replacement OME springs and I need to order them for the current setup not the future setup which may change anyway.

Glen, i kind of understand, but still seems like you are wasting a lot of money. Even if you don't plan on wheeling the rig, a winch is nice security to have knowing you can extract the truck from a ditch if you were to hit some icy or snowy conditions. Or if the wife calls and says she just slid of the road, you can go get her out.

Leave the winch bar on there, put a license plate over the opening, or just go ahead and stuff a winch in there and be done.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread but this did seem an appropriate place for my query.

Having fitted my ARB front bumper to my 80 series using the instructions kindly provided by Pacific Northwest Backroad Adventures and as mentioned above. I have now taken delivery of a Warn XD9000 winch and I am looking for similarly detailed instructions and photos for the winch installation.

Can anybody direct me to such a guide, either here, elsewhere or on the Warn or ARB websites?

Thanks,
Paul

Oh, and x2 on the ARB instructions. They pretty much suck. This isn't a real difficult install other than figuring out what bolts go where and what all the misc piece parts are for. The link above is much more helpful as are other posts here on MUD about wiring up the lights etc.

I don´t know why, but I guess the first thing the parents gave to an australian newborn is a wrench instead of a toy and a beer instead of milk, because I never have seen a australian accesory instruction manual which were easy to follow no matter if it came from ARB, OMU, TJM , Long Ranger, IronMan etc. and yes I bet the aussies can install anything blindfolded.

It´s a pain in the ass to us to figure out how to install anything the first time. So Mates please do something to enlight us or we should start to publish a bullbar for dummies yellow book

Yep, there's no fitting instructions. Yet the ARB bumper is specially designed for the XD9000 winch?

Does anyone know what the upper tabs are for. I assume the lower tabs are for aux. lights.

More lights or CB antenna or whatever you want to put on it. There's no hard fast rules except what your local laws might restrict.

The holes up there are bigger and a CB antenna doesn't fit very well. Antenna fits better on the lower tabs. Anyone use those upper tabs for a high lift mount?

Does the ARB Bumper come with hardware to put it on, or do i reuse the original bumper hardware?
Dang, I totally forgot about this post...it was three cruisers ago;)

If buying new it should come with all hardware needed for basic install. If used, you may be in the situation I had above but it is not unsurmountable. If the bumper is used ensure you know the cost for the install kit so you can factor that into the actual cost.

Ahh lol i didn't realize this was such an old post. Thanks for responding, I didn't realize i didn't come with the hardware to install, it at actually had to be bought separately. sadly.

Hello, anyone know the dimention of the bolt for mounting the Arb bumper? M10 and m12 x 30mm but Is it a 1.25 or 1.75 thread spacing? Thank you!

pretty sure it's a 1.25 because they are damn hard to find
