ARB Bull Bar Questions

Has anyone put shackle mount brackets on their front ARB bumper? Did you put them over the jack cut out openings? Will the ARB Hi Lift jack adapter work on the ARB bumper? Last question, will the Hi Lift jack work if shackle mounts are installed.

Like to find out what works before I buy it.

I don't know what the ARB looks like exactly on the FJ Cruiser, but I'll show you what I did on the bullbar I had on my FJ62 a few years ago.

Mine was already installed on the truck when I got it, but the previous owner wasn't very gentle to it, here's what the tow hook points looked like:

A few minutes with the plasma and grinder, and they were gone:

Then I took some nice 3/4" thich tabs and installed them into the bumper:

Much stronger.

For the Hi-lift, I stole an idea I saw a few years earlier, made some hoops out of 1/4" plate and installed them at the ends of the bumper:

Worked really well.

One more thing

if you do go with the ARB you have to do just a little bending with your AC lines..make sure they don't rub!
just to be safe i put a hose around the line with some zip ties
