Anyone have experience with Iceco fridges and can verify if this is true? Specifically pulled this from their VL75PRO D review. Do they really have some kinda seam rather than water tight sealed compartment? Seems like a pretty terrible idea, I mean eventually I'll want to wash the inside and fill it with water, I don't want any detergent soap water to run behind the walls......

I plan to silicone the seams and find a plastic liner as well. My 65qt edgestar smelled like eggs for months because I forgot to secure them and it seaped into the seams. Same design.... I usually try and keep anything that could leak in sealed locking Tupperware ect.

I believe they all have a seam inside them. Even my old Dometic had one and from looking at pictures of the inside of new dometics they have them as well. If you don’t want any seams, you’re better off getting the Rotomold version in the JP42. Those won’t have any seams. Just my $.02

that's a great tip. Every fridge I've seen has a seam around the bottom. Never thought to RTV silicone it, but it makes perfect sense! Definitely going to do that with my ICECO.

Update: i just realized my phone service expired about a week ago! I am the one holding things up now sorry/i sent them an email to let them know i will get another phone next week, and to communicate via email. I will also try calling from roommates phone today, and stay on top of this, phone or not.

Keep us updated on this group buy! This could be a killer deal on some nice fridges. I have the vl45pro and I am wanting to upgrade to the vl60pro in my 5th gen 4Runner. For those wondering about the seams... they are there. Just make sure to silicone them as soon as you get the fridge and you will be good to go until your next purchase years down the road.

Hey guys, has anyone in Canada taken advantage of these group buys? Shipping to Canada is extremely expensive ($300) so I'm not sure if there is a cheaper route.

Hello everyone, I just got another phone a few days ago and Lu has the new number. Here is update from last night. I will post as soon as I have the list and I apologize for running late.
Whatever model isn’t included, I will work into another GB during 2nd half of this year, don’t worry! Our relationship with ICECO is a long-term one (I hope!).

Every youtube video you watch on iceco fridges says to silicone these seams. I'm willing to do that for the 50% I will save over a comparable Dometic.

Fingers crossed for the VL60Pro! That's the one I need....especially since my Costway bit the dust 2 months ago and summer overlanding season is coming QUICK! :)

@SharpeCat

Thank you so much for organizing this! I'm looking to buy the VL60 Dual Fridge/Freezer in the next week or so. I know you are waiting on IceCo, but do you have any idea if this coupon should be active soon?

Thank you!

I think Lu is playing catch-up, I will send a text asking for updates today.

Will let you guys know. I am keeping a close eye on this.

Update: I am still without a phone, and my phone i've waited a month for shipped yesterday! Will be here sometime next week and i will try and get this thing going in time for Spring!
@CowboyTaco Hey boss do you want a price list for TacomaWorld too? I will be making a template where i can easily change the forum name/replace SharpeCat with CowboyTacoCat.

I haven't been following along much here lately either. That said, can you let me know the details so that I can share on TW? I'm fairly certain that some folks over there are ready to place orders.

Even if just estimates, do we know start/end dates and discount amount?

Hey boss, hope you are well!

I am patiently awaiting Lu, who is swamped around GB time as always. Will let you know as soon as I hear back boss. Last thing he said was towards end of April.

Prices for previous GBs have been 25%, so I am hoping for the same this time. Will post final details as soon as I can!

This is from Lu, looks like they setup a second site. 3 models available so far: TRs (45 and 60) and JP60 Pro25% off.

@CooperIce i am waiting on custom code for 60Duals. Seems very limited supply and you’re first in line.

@CowboyTaco

I know, new site so everyone is thinking it: could it be a scam?

I, for one, trust Lu 100%. If you don’t think it’s legit, let others go first and share their experiences. Also, you can always call your bank if it is but let’s not get ahead of yourself. My gut tells me it’s legit; unlikely someone hacked Lu’s phone or Lu himself, and created this fake site just to scam mud xD. I get it though, if you’re concerned.

I plan on buying every model to help ICECO promote/make videos (also for my
Home business/shop, to provide snacks and drinks to customers/for hosting meets), simply because I think they could use/deserve the help. Due to financial constraints I will do this slowly/1 model at a time. I will keep everyone posted/hope to make some content to help mud choose correct fridge.
