Photos looks awesome! Got any AB video, hmmm?

Cheers,

Reflecting back, this was nearly the perfect trip. My son Jeff really got to practice his driving and everyone was very patient with him, and us, as tailgunners. The big windstorm has already become a family legend, even though having the tent blow away while inside sucked for him at the time!

It was also great having such great trip leaders and not leading myself. I could really kick back and enjoy what came at us, whether it was scenery, driving challenges with Jeff, or the awesome food fest every night. Truely, a remarkable group of compatable individuals, both old friends and new ones.

Snook/Jay-Pasquale took lots of video. You may have some competition. I'm not sure if he is hoping to put out a DVD of the trip, or sell his footage to Toyota USA.:D

A tear in my eye for missing it... glad everyone had a blast and made it home safely.

It's all about the peeps (and grub).

Jeff- you can drive my rig anytime you get sick of hangin' with your dad ;) I get sick of driving alone anyway.

So, still curious about Coyota Canyon....?

The through route on Coyote is closed due to the big horn sheep. You can go pretty far up though.

Is the Coyota Canyon a misprint or a pun? Either way, I like it.

Jeff did an awesome job. He wanted to credit an extremely capable truck, but he exhibited good patience and skill out there too! Nice to see in a 16 year old!!! Kudos Jeff.

OK, now I see how this work, my tail gunners got my back until he's outta' CB range (gotta' get that 2meter license).:flipoff2:
Scott got the 80 stuck and blamed it on Mary. Then James winched them back twice only to have them get stuck each succeeding time. The Jeep was next in line, went up and around and pulled them out of the hole. The rest of the 80s made it through, the 4Runner, Nissan mini, and Rover all got stuck and had to be pulled through.
Well, having driven through Carrizo Creek 4-5 times in the 80 and never having had a prior problem I was surprised as anyone--also that we couldn't get out...but I wasn't the only 80 that got stuck in or out--we made it out, not that I was counting.

So anyway, here's our photos from the trip. Once you follow the link you'll also find links to Rick, James and Stacy & George's Flickr photo sets.

I'll let everyone know when I've got the write-up done and posted at tlcwagons.org

As always, this was a great group of Cruiser's to host in Anza Borrego Desert State Park! Thanks for joining us!

Now that you mention it, that's right. What happened to the pics of the 80 that got stuck on the way out? Is the driver being blackmailed as we discussed?

Great trip, and really great photos.
