Wanting a bellhousing adapter to swap a 350 SBC V8 into my 1985 Fj60 with factory H42F 4 speed transmission.

All I can find for sale (new) these days is the Marks kit for $1600 on AA. I dont need the whole kit, just the bellhousing adapter. Im in TX but willing to pay for shipping.

Thanks

Have you tried to contact @Downey .
He may have something. I think AA sells parts individually too.

I have not contacted Downey. I thought he was not in business anymore.
I have reached out to AA to see if they have something not listed on their website. I havent been on their site in a long time but it seems like they dont have as many options as they used to.
Id also entertain the idea of purchasing a used Ranger box if anyone knows of one.

Yes you need the whole kit. if you just do a the single bellhousing the engine won't clear the firewall. Buy the whole Mark's kit that has adapter that bolts to the original bellhousing.

Also you should scrap the SBC and buy a 5.3, and my motor mount kit

Guess I'm late to this post, I have exactly what you need, used, good aluminum Marks adapter, but the previous owner let the throw out bearing hardware rust up, soooo I'm soaking and trying to free up all the throw out bearing hardware, looks like I will have to grind off the throw out bearing, it is just laughing at my bearing puller ?????

I do, but reason I still have it is because the main adapter shaft that is included/necessary was missing. After I priced the missing shaft directly from Marks in Australia, and their USA distributor Advanced Adapters, at about $800, I decided I must manufacture the shaft myself. I now have all the pieces needed to manufacture that shaft, but since I no longer own Downey Off Road Mfg. (a manufacturing plant) I have not made arrangements to get the pieces machined before they can be welded/merged into a single one piece shaft, then heat treated/normalized.
