What do you keep in all off those boxes that needs to be so well protected? Do you tow a trailer also? Food, clothing, cooking supplies take up a alot of my room. Do you keep it in those boxes? Curious if you cross deep water were it get wet back there?Pelican are tough cases and their protection of gear goes beyond just water. Dust, impact and security is why I use them. Plus they're very comfortable to sit on when your stuck somewhere for a long period of time.
I've used duffle bags for years, but the gear always gets smashed, wet or just thrown about which results in lost time looking for gear.
I will agree that p-cases are heavy and bulky, but it's worth it when you can jsut grab the case you need and open it up with all your stuff organized.
