Anyone want to go to Southern Cruiser Crawl in Hot Spring AR?

I'll be saving my pennies for ICBM. It is usually the 3rd weekend in Oct. Butch, when do you think it will be this year?

BM over Hot Springs? Really?

Love the event but I don't go there to wheel...

O.K. guys, maybe we need to start a new thread on this... then again maybe not. I'm not sure who all is leaving to go to the Crawl or when, but I will be leaving Wed. (10/10) morning around 9:00 ish to go up. I will be going I-35 to Dallas then catching I-30 to AR., then I'm not sure what route to take to Hot Springs ( a local told me hwy 270 I think). Don't know if anyone is going that early or not, if so chime in and we'll hook up somewhere. I know this maybe a little early to be planning, but my room reservations are for the 10th-14th, so I'll need to get there Wed.

Superlift has great directions on their site to get there from I 30 I print them off every time........

But it is two weekends now!!!

C3 Presents is proposing to make it 2 weekends, but not sure the city of Austin has signed off on it yet. I bet it will be next year though.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have room on a trailer to haul a FJ40 to this? Trying to work out a deal on selling mine to a guy in GA, but he's going to be at this event. Let me know and we can work out the details/$ etc -

Why not drive it up, wheel it and I can take you back.

Edit: I would but I am already trailering mine

How big is WL's trailer?

It's a single car trailer

Correct, it's just an 18 foot single car hauler. My prospects of going has deminished slightly over the last week. Uncovered the Cruiser the other day (for the first time since the HF run in May) and tried to start it, it wouldn't budge. Took the plugs out and it spun over really easy....while shooting water out of both sides of the sbc. Further investigation revealed about 2 1/2 quarts of water came out of the oil pan before the oil hit...., and the floats and everythig else inside the carb was all rusted. Thing looked like it had been setting at the bottom of a lake (it has been under a tarp all this time). New oil, new plugs, carb rebuild and it's back up and running good mostly... except for the backfire I get when I speed up the motor then let off. Found some valves needing adjusting...hope that's all it is.. if I need to tear into the top end, it may scrap my trip (then it becomes a money thing). Well at least I got a month before blast off to sort it out hopefully....

We're less than 4 weeks. Who is in?

Several of the LSLC guys will be heading up Wed after work....

So far I am still scheduled to pull outta here on Wed morning... if I get the miss out of my motor, one other thing to check and if that's not it, I may have to cancel
