It's funny to me that people still think the EPA actually cares about the environment. It's mostly a cat and mouse money and power game. Follow the money people. And let me remind you that we can have the best air quality standards here, but canada doesn't, Mexico, doesn't, Cuba doesn't, and for some strange reason, air doesn't like to stay hovered over its own country. My wife was born and raised in Port Huron, MI right on the border with Canada. We know about these things.

The feds the feds the feds. Sound like a bunch of losers and sheep. The car is here and Florida titled. The worst that could happen is one of you jealous whining little keyboard killers calls the feds and directs them to this situation. Otherwise the feds don't go around pulling people over to check epa and dot compliance. This s*** went on for years before everybody needed to be somebody on the internet and jealous cliques started and people talked too much and brought attention to a situation and that led to the feds. If everybody only worried about themselves and not the next man or the Joneses then all those defenders and skylines and supras would still be around. As a Land Cruiser enthusiast community forum I'm highly dissapointed at the amount of jealousy and cynicism anytime someone has an idea that the internet warriors don't agree with. The worst that could happen is they make you export this car. They are not going to seize it and crush it because you didn't import it. You give your story about "hey it had a title". They say ya its not legal so export it. I don't think enough of you realize you would be speaking with a British accent if everyone was a sheep.

Weed is legal in Colorado. Do the feds drive around arresting people saying ya its illegal federally? Of course they do........if someone tells them.

This car is no different. If you try to make an insurance claim might have problem with parts, if someone calls the feds cause they are jealous, or you are into illegal activity and somehow bought this car with proceeds. Those are your only worries.

Good luck with that line of thought. As someone who has imported multiple classic Land Rovers and G-wagens I can tell you that the Feds take an exceptionally dim view of smuggling. This is exactly what this is, whether or not you are the one who did it.

Haha keyboard murder...

And you would be wrong. Try using that line of though when the fed's come a-knockin. The guy that bought the D110 a few months back had a title also (car was still seized). MotoRex had titles for all their R34 Skylines; again, they were/are in the process of being seized and destroyed.

It's a shame you can't pay an import tax on it and be good to go, that's one of the best looking lc i've ever seen, any idea what the fuel economy is?

I get the idea behind the Import issues, business illegally smuggling cars into the US.

So even if this owner is originally from Russia, lived there when he bought it legally, and later moved to the US legally , and brought the LC with him legally, legally titled it in Florida by Florida state law. Its still illegal for someone else to own it here, by federal law? How can that be?

Thats where things don't jive.

There is no way that it could have been registered as a road-legal truck legally. Its not possible. If it were possible, there would be cool Euro cars all over the place.

Like someone else said, you could register a dog in Florida.
