Anyone try chevron dexron vi in there 62?

Just got this rig and I've been going thru the fluids.

Has anyone tried chevron dexron vi or any other brand of dexron 6? In there 62 auto. If so, did it work out ok? better, worse or the same?

I cannot speak from experience with a 62 but i would highly recommend the BG synthetic trans fluid. You can run it in anything and it will improve your shifting and last longer.

So I guess thats a no.

Ya I been using syn's for over 30 years.

$5. per quart for the Chevron Dexron 6 is more than I need to spend @$80.

I dont need to spend near $200. for synthetic!

I did a Rodney flush on my FJ62 about a year ago with 20 quarts of Chevron MS-3, which is their Dex3 product. I've since done a drain and fill with the same stuff. The tranny shifts great and I'm not worried about the non-synthetic fluid. It's pretty cheap at Costco....

Have you added an aux cooler to your tranny circuit? You should.
