If you want to buy new ones, you certainly could. They're not one time use items though. But, why? Are they $85 a piece?![]()
Smart. Ass.If you want to buy new ones, you certainly could. They're not one time use items though.
Do you replace lug nuts after every tire rotation?
I replaced mine although they came out clean and had good threads. I am fairly certain that Toyota wants the mechanic’s to have these on hand in case they are corroded. I am glad I purchased new bolts for my rear sway bar bushings. They were not rusty but they did not come out clean and the threads were less than ideal. It’s hard for me to argue with the FSM. I bet most people on here reuse bolts regularly. I am not judging, however I do not.
Yeah - I can't speak for the pre '03 bolts, but I cannot imagine that the bolts in my '05 are anywhere near yielding at their specified torque. If you want to buy new ones, you certainly could. They're not one time use items though.
