Do you have any pictures of before and after window trim?
I really have no idea what it looks like.
Yeah, after looking at the parts looks like an easy swap. I’ll go for it. Wish me luck.I wish I had some clearer answers for you on this.... I've struggled with the same questions. Next time I have door apart for actuator failure may do one. I'm frankly not sure if just tearing one out..while old unusable would allow the new one to just install without issue.
Always the trial and error and first one to do it is the hero![]()
470 content plenty on topic... 460.. not... unfortunately
Awesome. Ripping em off tomorrow.I have taken mine off, I didn't have any issues. I even left the mirror on. They just sort of clamp the edge of the door. There are probably videos on youtube, the GX was just like my Tundra.
Will do.Good Luck and take videos.. they aren't there yet on Youtube.
Side note... I wanted to save my old ones as well so that may have played a role in how draconian I wanted to get with the old ones.

Will do.
Sorry, was hoping to get the video out sooner and forgot to update here. Mine were easy. I just used a nylon pryer. If you look at your replacements, pay attention to the tabs for position. Work that first but the real trick is to rotate the top of the moulding towards your body (outside of the car). If you use a rotating motion, towards the ground not the air, its possible to get them out clean. I wrecked 1, slightly bent one (could have been reused) and the last two came out clean and perfect. Go figure. How did things go?
And here's the video! Window belt molding replacement is the second to last chapter.Great tips Jake!!!
I knew I could get them out of there with damage but was unsure on removal with no damage.
Yeah, I screwed the name up in that section unfortunately. The ones they sent me were OEM for the Prado. He had to import them I believe. I'm not sure if they are selling them yet, or if they normally only sell them in the full Prado conversion kit but I think he said he's going to be selling them. Message @urj150 (owner) here or on IG but I know he's slammed shipping grills so it might take him a bit to get back to you.Jake you got your hands on black window belt moldings but did you say where you got them? In the video you said "Alpha Garage" but I am guessing you meant Garage Alpha but I didn't see anything on their site.
And Acrad, you were kind enough to list out the window belt part numbers but I am guessing these are the OEM Chrome ones? Any chance you can get your hands on the part numbers for the black ones that are presumably on the Blackline edition?
