So Lee,
what ever happened to these springs? did they work out?
The short answer is that they're back in my garage and still haven't been mounted.
Davis talked to a guy at Hell Creek who told him that my springs are first generation and are 1/2" (or maybe it was 3/4") shorter than the current 4" springs. He said they may not provide a good shackle angle. Davis didn't want to go to the trouble of mounting them and finding out they were too short, so he returned them to me.
FWIW I measured my springs against Tucker's Skyjackers when he had them off his truck. My 4" Hell Creek springs are exactly the same length as Tuckers 4" Skyjackers and his shackle angles are fine, so I dunno. Like I said, they haven't been mounted on a 40 so I don't know if there would be a problem or not.
Why, you need springs?
