The SS86HF Snorkel is discontinued and the newer version, the SS86HP clearly states its for the 100 series with the round, not rectangular air box (i.e. non-US). but I'm thinking it can and has been done. Before the "buy the $100 eBay one" comments, it's in consideration, but I like a challenge and if it'll help the Mud community I'm in.

could I source a round air box? or just McGuyver something into the rectangular one?

what has been done?

thanks for any thoughts or advice.

Haven't seen one of the ARMAX snorkels on a US 100 yet (maybe because of the airbox issue). I would guess you could order the round airbox form a non-US parts supplier like partssouq, but also would guess you need more than just the airbox, might need the connection to the throttle body, etc.

Unfortunately you can't buy all the parts new anymore (I've tried Amayama, partsouq, etc etc)

You need the cyclical air filter, the intake tube (which is a completely different part to the US one) the vacuum tubes, and a new 🚂 me cover, although you could bodge a standard one of you had to.

The other way is to buy a Psico air intake an intake upgrade as they assures me the airmx will bolt straight up.

I can't see a way of adapting the diesel cylinder filter cost effectively.

Cruiser outfitters mentioned that on theSS86HP they sell they will include the an in-house hose kit designed to solve the air-cleaner interface issue.

Are you still in need? I have the intake for the round box but I need the “S” intake for the square box.

@cruiseroufit website doesn't list a snorkel or an adapter anymore. And a psico filter setup is almost $1500 dollars, not really a feasible option.

Did anyone ever find a really good safari-style knock-off (is the ebay one really good?) or figure out how to get the Arb/safari SS86HP to cludge into the north american square filter box?

Maybe a heatgun and some pvc? Some kind of 3dprint schematic?

Can confirm :D

All SS86HP's we sell include an adapter kit for the US spec UZJ100/LX470 airbox.
Do you have any SS86HP's in stock, and if not, can I source the adapter kit from you separately?

Yes we should. Please give the team at the shop a call to order, 801-563-1277.

We don't sell the kit separately, it's included complimentary in our snorkels.

Anyone have any insight to the adapter that cruiser outfitters provides. I already had the snorkel before seeing this and unfortunately cruiser outfitters doesn't offer the adapter separate and they won't provide any insight to the adapter when I contacted them... Any insight or info on the adapter would be appreciated!

Thank you all!
