As you know, I'm organizing a group buy for 3M headlamp film covers. Turns out the LX lamps have a small difference that needs to be traced for a pattern. The company that creates and digitizes the patterns is near the airport in San Antonio and I told them I may be able to find one of you guys in the area that could give them 20 minutes with your truck. They'll just get the pattern - no removal or anything of the like is required.

If you could do this, let me know. Your LX brethren will appreciate it.

I'm assuming it has to be an LX not an FJ80?

I'm in San Antonio but I have a 91'

Rats! I was through San Antonio last weekend, but don't have any plans to be back for about a month.

What is the small difference, I've always wondered? I'm holding out for the LX, but I would think the LC version would probably work as well - maybe just not covering a few mm?

It's the inboard bottom corners. On the LX, this corner is an acute angle, on the LC it's a radiused corner. Enough difference that I wouldn't sell them - I'd custom make the LX instead.

May do that, but it would be great to have the correct pattern if we can find someone in balmy TX...
