Anyone here regret doing an air bag delete when lifting their vehicle?

I came from a 99 4runner to a 2017 gx 460 luxury and I love the ride quality. I'm new to all this so I'm assume that the ride will actually be more comfortable after the 2 inch lift, or am I wrong?

I like to ride in comfort mode with the OEM air bags, is difficult to reinstall the bags afterwards if I wanted to?

Get the ironman foam cell pro 2. It's better than stock and I like a comfy ride too. Everything is reversible but I don't think you'll miss the bags unless you tow all the time.

NOTE:
When you're ready for a suspension lift, think about what your end game is. e.g. mild build no steel bumpers, etc., or full on overlander or something in between.
This will determine the stiffness of the suspension you'll want to get.
I did the 3" heavy duty suspension, but my rig is a fully built overlander and the ride is great! My wife and I have gone cross country (So. Cal to Maine) and have done 1,000 mile days, so it must be comfortable. I'm saying this having had a couple of 100 series Landcruisers before, so I am not comparing the ride to an F350 Superduty Ford truck or something like that.

i'm leaning heavily toward the ironman's over the dobinson's, any reason why you choose ironman?

I've thought about this a lot, and I prefer a comfortable ride over the possibilty of getting a front end. I do think that rock sliders are next after the lift thought. Are f350 supposed to be comfortable or uncomfortable? lol

Quick answer - nope. Buy a complete system, don't buy some here some there. Do your due diligence before pulling the trigger. You can return it to stock later, but I don't know why.

Not smart/experienced enough to piecemeal it. Definitely going to buy a complete Ironman or dobinsons kit

thanks!

Dobinson appears to have some quality control issues, the foam cells appear to be a better balance of performance/longevity, and Ironman has awesome and responsive customer service. Dobinson also has been having longer wait times which made me concerned about replacement/warranty parts if there was an issue.

I have stage 2 ironman cell foam pros on pre-order, they suggested i go with the comfort springs, I have sliders and roofrack for daily driving, with a 180lb tent when camping.

With our GX's being so much heavier than th 4runner, which the suspension says it fits but is 400-800lbs less, should i opt for the med duty springs/shocks to compensate, or stay with the suggested comfort suspension?

Airbag Man Aftermarket Full Air Suspension Kit

Why loose the function, just factor in lift bags within your build.
This is the right idea. I did the bag delete on my lift then took me a few months to miss the airbags so I added the Airlift 1000 ($90) . If I had the shop do it from the beginning I would have probably done the airlift kit with wireless control ($400)

However the airlift bag install was actually pretty easy (you just sandwich the deflated bags into the springs, no need to disassemble anything )

I just towed this week with the bags and WDH and the ride was very comfy better than WDH alone especially over bumps and pot holes.

Did you go with their comfort springs 0-660lbs?
yes did. i am putting sliders and an awning with no plans for metal bumpers. if you are just doing sliders and a tent, you should be fine but keep in mind if you have additional gear, it might be a good idea to look into getting the med duty. trade off is when you are daily driving it without the added weight, the ride might be stiff.
