Looks like I found a set of used sliders.... the good is that shipping them to a WA address will be about $80, shipping them with the same courier to Victoria is about $450!

Needless to say, I'd like to send them to WA and pick them up myself.

Anyone you know who might help?

Closest to the Border would be best... Blaine, Bellingham, etc.

Hi Iron, I live just NE of Seattle, so it's much further south then what you have in mind, but as a last resort, if you can't find anybody else, and if you are really wiling to come this far south, I could help you out.

i think it is also possible to get things shipped to the victoria clipper and they will take it across to vic and you pick it up and go through customs when you pick it up....theres more info on this on island4x4 i believe, i read about it a while ago on there

I've used Victoria Clipper a few times. Look up Clipper freight. It's on the Victoria Clipper website.
You have the package UPS'd to their address in Seattle, then they load it onto the Clipper for $.40/lb and call you when it arrives in Victoria. You have to go just after the Clipper or the Coho arrive. Go into the Clipper terminal and tell them you have a package to pick up, they give you paperwork to take to customs where you pay duty etc, then return to the Clipper office to pick up your goods. It's pretty easy and alot cheaper than UPSing to Victoria.
Good luck!

Holy cats, you're a genius! That's gonna work.

What a great service. Wish I'd known six months ago (when I lived within sight of the Clipper dock)!

Now I'm reconsidering the IPOR skid plate, too :/

I'll post how it turns out.

Sliders for me :grinpimp: (and just in time).
