Anyone have or have a source that has 4.88 gears in stock?

All the major shops seem to be out of 4.88 gears and they seem to be backordered until October at the earliest.

Anyone have a set they aren't going to use in the corner of their garage or know of some possibly lesser know places to check?

Thanks!

Well that could put a snag in some plans... I assume you checked with JustDifferentials, CruiserBrothers, Cruiser Outfitters... did you also check with SDHQ?

Yup, except for SDHQ, not familiar with them. Who is that?

This site claims to have a set in stock.

So they responded to my email and they claim it is in stock and ready to ship. Price seems to good to be true, and the reviews posted here seem to mimic that feeling. Lot of people saying to stay away.

I’m pretty sure that’s the same company that never shipped my Dometic fridge. I had to have Amex reverse the charge.

Thanks to user @RET2 for driving by their store, we have determined it to be a scam, so everyone should stay far away. $500 off normal prices with everyone else on backorder was too good to be true, somewhat as expected.

Yep, it quacks like a duck.

My local shop who personally knows the owner of Nitro does not recommend them. He has been burned by them twice and doesn’t feel they are that good of quality and the customer service isn’t easy to work with. This isn't your typical off-road shop. They do some pretty amazing custom work. Anyways, has anyone used Revolution gears, they highly recommend them and I’m looking to go 4.88 for when I go back to 35”s. 😎

The owner said he will still use Nitro if somebody really wants it, but prefers not to deal with them as the quality and service is not what it used to be. 🤷🏻 I know nothing about gear quality from one to another but I know him and he’s a straight shooter with endless customers. I was quoted $1100 from Revolution gear. Not sure why the website say $1483 unless that includes shopping and tax. But, they would waive shipping if I ordered direct.
