Went to my girlfriends house on Lake Burton this past weekend and saw this at the marina. Seems like it would be helpful to find places to go off the beaten path.

No I have not but my cousin told me he had something like this he bought from some place up in WNC a few years ago and said it was great... If you get one would be interested in seeing its accuracy. Maybe an Upstate guy would know...but if not updated on regular basis might only be worth it for casual review and information.

Well not really. Though the sample does show some gravel roads. Nothing on that map you couldn't find on Google maps.

Still kind of cool.

 

[Southeast Overland]

All that info can be found on free maps and map sources - but - it can save time to have it all at your fingertips.

I have a literal ton of maps and data (I'm a professional cartographer) but have to go through everything. If it is a legal road/trail I have it on a map - and even if it is closed I probably have it too. That's one thing I've been working on going through for Southeast Overland to publish on our website and make available to everyone.

One thing I noticed their sample map does NOT have are several nice FS road loops in NE GA...
