I have this wacky idea that I can use the AHC switches/dial for operating lights and 'stuff'. on/off switch to power relay...then putting light control for different banks of lights going from 'comfort' to 'sport' (or whatever it says). Like....dial all the way to the left...Front LED bar, second click - LED + rack, third - backup, and then something else on the 4th and final stop on the dial. Am I crazy to think this will work?

Maybe even tie in the dash indicators...I envision changing the word from "height control" to "Light control". OK...maybe not.

Does anyone know where I can get the wiring diagram for that system for an 06 LX? it's lifted so the AHC stuff has been pulled...but I still have the switches in the console. I have buttloads of switches on my 60, but want this to be a bit 'cleaner'.

thanks!

I'd just cut the harness and leave a pig tail and put it on the bench with a multi meter. OE wiring goes through a computer. If it's a simple switch like the headlights with multiple outs you're in luck.

Great idea.
The 3 switches for the ahc have a common ground, pin 4. W-B. For the Soft-to-hard-suspension-switch, it's switching like this:

Soft (comfy): pin 4 to 2 L-W
Medium: pin 4 to 2 and 7 L-Y
Sport1: pin 4 to 7
Sport2 (hard): No connection.

The Up-down and the ahc-off switches are momentary, iirc, and connects like this:
Ahc-off: pin 4 to 9 LG-R
Down: pin 4 to 10 L-B
Up: pin 4 to 6 R-Y

The ground, pin 4, W-B, is from set-bolt at the LHS kick-panel junction block.
The 5 other conductors are terminated at the AHC-ECU

This for May 2005 production onwards.

You could also use the AHC relay (for the pump) in the engine compartment for controlling the lights. It's fed from the 50 A AHC fuse. The coil + side of this relay is also terminated at the ahc-ecu, so just plug-n-play.

THANKS!!!!

Thank you so much, this is exactly what I'm looking for. I'll keep ya' posted on my progress!

Shawn, let's catch up this next week. I've been doing some tinkering with the switches here and I may do a demo run on my truck this week.

great!

That's Great! how funny we were thinking the same idea in WY. 'great minds…'

I can't wait to see how it turns out. I've got Nak thinking about it, too. I'll touch base next week. If you have some questions let me know, an EE friend is taking a gander at the diagrams for me, too.

thanks!!!

I like to mod this into the passenger "mute button" but no success...anyone helps will be appreciated.

On long trips I "give" her extra legroom by moving the PS front seat all the way forward and tilted forward. She can access the kids, and then usually she's tempted to put on headphones for whatever they are watching or at the least be less likely to want to chat.
