Wondering if the factory SAT radio was a easy DIY or something best left for the dealership. One dealer said $795 installed, seems kind of steep...

Here's our new LC in Tahoe

Averaged 16.4mpg going up to the mountains and 18.2mpg coming back to the Bay Area, not too shabby.

NICE! Is that black or a dark Blue?

Well I was going to have the factory Sirius installed since the website said it was available...but after we ordered it, they came back with a 6-8 month time frame.

I decided it was not worth it. I just had a sportster installed.

I am sure XM is probably much more readily available.

The benefit obviously being that it is through the factory nav unit.

About being a DIY project, unless you are comfy removing basically everything in the dash to get behind the radio, I would have the dealer do it.

Very sweet.

Thanks, it is Black, it may look a little bluish from the reflection of the sky. I believe the only blue the LC comes in is a very light blue now. I'll probably just rock the iPod for awhile until I can find more info about the Sirius install.

Thanks

Verrrry nice. I've come to terms with the fact that I'll never be able to afford one, but I can still appreciate them.

Congrats!:cheers::cheers::cheers:

Looks like Midnight Blue.

I had the dealer install mine, it came with 3 months free ( XM Radio )

That's good to see the dealer was able to your install, I'm just kind of paranoid that this will be the first one they worked on before and hope all goes smooth.

I live in the Bay Area and swear by MASA, Marin Auto Stereo and Alarm in San Rafael, Give Tom a call, he is the owner of the place and can help you out with any thing you want to do to the vehicle, by the way black looks amazing on the 200!!

MASA's phone number is [SIZE=-1](415) 459-2636

I had XM installed already at the dealer. I asked what I needed to do to get it activated, they said call up XM or online...lo and behold, It was good to go when I drove it off the lot. Probably a 3 month deal that the salesguy didn't know was already hooked up.

Any competent dealer should be able to install without any problems, although, I've heard it's tough to get into the back of the radio/sat/climate tower. Maybe Motin can tell you more about what was done to install his.
