Anyone found a dual gas tank setup yet? (1 Viewer)

Getting only 15-18mpg doesnt bother me too much, but having to fill it up all the timeis kind of annoying. There is plenty of space behind the rear axle. Anyone tried to add the Prado dual tank setup?

That was the first inprovement I noticed when I saw an FJC on the lot, was all the space for an extra gas tank.

I too, would like an extra fuel tank. Get more off highway miles without having to carry fuel cans. If you get any information let me know. Michael

There is a lot of space under there for an dual tank setup. But these pictures are a little deceaving. These pics are not a reserve tank, but a tank that is a relocated. I think the monster suspension equip interfered with the stock tank and then there was something about the Baja regs not allowing stock tanks, so this was fabbed up for the race prerequisites. This setup may actually overlap with stock setup from a physical location standpoint, I mean.

you all know that the Fj body on a prado chases so the prado long wheel bas got dual gas tank so you can get that idea from it

Just have one made. They are only a few hundred bux. There's a guy not far from my place that makes them. I'm sure there is plenty of shops that can fab one up. Inside baffles, and all.
